I teach because I like to learn. I build so more people get to.
I am Head of Computer Science at Pierrepont School . I built the computer science program into a full curriculum across grades 3 to 12, reaching about three quarters of the school, and teach it with one other instructor. I co-founded SeqHub AI Academy , which brings motivated students together with university scholars and experts working at the edge of their fields.
I hold a Ph.D. in computational biology and bioinformatics from Yale and an executive master's in technology leadership from Brown. I am a research scientist with the TRAP Lab and the RISE Lab , where I evaluate language models: what shifts their judgments, and what they encode about persuasion, harm and refusal. Alongside that, I design learning systems that keep students in charge of their own thinking while they use AI.
Educator
I lead computer science at Pierrepont School across grades 3 to 12, from introductory programming through data science, machine learning, and AI evaluation and interpretability. I brought Project Invent to the school so students design for people in their own community, and was named its Fellow of the Year in 2023.
Look-Think-Do is the learning framework and AI companion we built at the Academy, and I lead its product and educational design. Students look at the material closely, think it through with AI questioning their reasoning rather than supplying it, then build something independently. Teachers can see how a student worked through it, not just what they turned in. It runs in my own classroom, in Dr. Andre Martin 's negotiation course at the University of Notre Dame, and in a course taught by Dr. Nnamdi Nwanze at North Central College.
Researcher
I evaluate language models: whether their judgments hold steady when framing, incentives, or the person asking changes, and what they encode about persuasion, harm and refusal. Separately, I design AI for learning rather than for getting things done.
Selected research and writing
Founder
SeqHub AI Academy , co-founded with J Phillips. It brings motivated students in grades 8 to 12 together with university scholars from Nigeria, where I grew up, and experts working at the edge of their fields. Students finish with a real project they can show. Participants co-authored work at WiML at NeurIPS 2025. Three Nigerian scholars from the Academy are now pursuing Ph.D.s at Brown, Carnegie Mellon and UT Austin, and a fourth a master's at Carnegie Mellon.
Tiny & Great. A student led nonprofit running STEM and coding programs in the United States, Nigeria and Senegal, with clubs now serving about 75 students in Nigerian public schools.
InclusionBridge , 2021 to 2025. A pipeline into the data science workforce for high school and university students. It raised more than $150,000, and its Bridge to Data Fundamentals curriculum was offered as a course at Mercy University in spring 2024.
SeqHub Analytics. Automation, data engineering and AI systems for charter school networks, nonprofits and growing enterprise teams.
